The second of our “Four Cs” is CAMARADERIE. Many of us are already enjoying “Friendships for Life” which we started at school and developed during ensuing years. We have an amazing fraternity and truly hope, very much overdue, to achieve a sorority that offers the same feeling of belonging. The support we give one another throughout life flows naturally. We have so much experience across so many professions that there is always someone on hand to help with any opportunity or problem that may be being experienced by members. It’s one of those unsung benefits but to know it’s there is very reassuring. In the first instance email connect@theoea.co.uk with whatever you want to discuss. Discord
The OEA Discord platform has been created and made available to OEs to facilitate communication between all OEs, with former teachers also welcome to join. The Discord application is available for Android and Apple smart phones as well as for internet browsers on your computer. If you are not already using the Discord application, when choosing your username, please could you kindly include your first name, surname or nickname but then please append that with an underscore followed by the year you started at Emanuel and another underscore followed by the year you left Emanuel. For example Mary Smith who was at Emanuel from 2000 to 2007 could choose the username “Mary_00_07“or “Smith_00_07” or “MS_00_07“.
